Day trip to Nazareth, Arbel mountain
national park & the sea of Galilee
We will start our tour by picking you up from your hotel, and head up to north part of Israel. Our tour will begin at Nazareth, the city where Jesus spent his childhood. In the city we'll explore the Church of the Annunciation and Church of St Joseph.
From Nazareth we'll drive east to the Sea of Galilee and the city of Tiberius, nearby in the Lower Galilee, stands majestic Mount Arbel, Its graceful stature and steep slopes, particularly on the eastern side, provide magical views across the Sea of Galilee and beyond, to the Golan Heights, and Israel’s tallest peak at Mount Hermon.
We will enter the national park, leave our vehicle and head by foot to the history-rich mountain. On our hike we will meet beautiful observation points, hiking trails and archaeological treasures. On our rote, we will need to overcome the high cliffs of the mountain using still ladders and stairs that was installed on the steep stones bay the national park authorities. From the mountain we will decent further down, and after a short drive we will stop to lunch at an Arabic style restaurant.
After lunch we'll drive to the north part of the Sea of Galilee, and start with a cooling dip in the water of Job spring and Job waterfall. Hidden Between the thick bush surrounding this part of the lake, hidden from the eyes of drivers lays a small patch on gods land: Job spring and Job fall. The waterfall- is magically gushing from the dense raspberry vegetation, as it flows to the Sea of Galilee, creating an array of small pools and fresh brooks, the shades of blue, green and black of the coasts Basalt stone creates a rare compilation of colors and scents.
After our leisure on the spring, a short drive will bring us to Kfar Nahum national park (Capernaum). Capernaum, or Kfar Nahum as it was called in ancient Semitic times, is an ancient fishing village on the northern shores of the Sea of Galilee. At the time of Christ, it was a Jewish village with its own synagogue. It is often mentioned in the Gospels, was Jesus' main base during his Galilean ministry and was the home of his first converts Peter and Andrew. It is at Capernaum that Jesus healed the sick and calmed a storm on the Sea of Galilee. The church of Capernaum was founded on the traditional site of St. Peter's home. We'll finish our visit and start heeding back to your hotel
