A One-Day Trip to the Dead Sea and Masada
We will start our tour by picking you up from your hotel before travelling to the lowest place on earth, the Dead Sea, the world’s deepest salt lake.
Our first stop will be Masada, a Jewish fortress built by King Herod which subsequently became one of the outstanding symbols of Jewish courage in their great mutiny against the Roman Empire. Embarking from our vehicle, we will make our way up to the peak of Masada in a cable car that will take us on a journey back 2000 years. On the mountain, we will visit a Roman bath house, the remains of the winter palace of King Herod, one of the oldest synagogues on earth and an amazing water system that kept Masada's residents alive in the middle of the desert.
After ascending down from Masada by the cable car, we'll reach our car and a 10 minutes drive will bring us to a nature wander, Ein Bokek a desert oasis.
A short walk through the stream until we reach a lovely waterfall, where we will have time to relax in the cool waters of the surrounding pool.
From Ein Bokek, a short drive will bring us to the Dead Sea hotel area, where we will enjoy a few hours of leisure in the unique, dense mineral-laden waters of the Dead Sea. After lunching in one of the many restaurants along the beach, we will continue our journey.
After completing our leisure at the special waters of the dead sea, we'll begin our journey back
